Happy New Year from Franklin Goose!
We hope all of you have a fun and safe night tonight as you celebrate with the rest of the world. (Or sleep, if you prefer.)
As is tradition, we’ve been discussing our new year resolutions, and we thought we’d share a couple with all of you. Maybe you can keep us accountable and cheer us on.
Or, you know, have a laugh.
What is your New Year’s resolution that you are determined to keep?
Sheri: Cycling. Three days a week.
Amanda: Hit my goal weight. That’s a must.
Mandy: Oh, gosh. Start exercising two days a week. Minimum. I want to get up to five days a week by April 1. Oh, and I want to eat healthy again. I went to school to be a dietician, and I have just not kept up my healthy eating habits. And I want to read more. A book a month. That’s a good resolution, right?
Emily: Write more. I don’t want to write just when I feel like it. I want to write on a schedule.
Maryjo: I want to spoil my grandson and children more.
Mandy: Oh! I want to take my son rock climbing once a week. And I want to bake him healthy food to eat.
Heather: Find one new great product for Franklin Goose every week.
Sheri: Really? Every week?
Heather: Hm. Every month? No, no. Every week.
And what’s one New Year’s resolution you won’t be able to keep for long?
Sheri: Well, I’d like to spend more time reading books, and less time on my iPad, but that’s probably not going to happen.
Amanda: I want to make a conscious effort to slow down more, but I do have to chase after my kids.
Mandy: Oh, no. If I make a public declaration of my goals, I am keeping them. I also want to start using my crock pot once a week. Up to twice a week. It’s winter. I like soups.
Emily: Exercise more. Although choosing to sit around and write will definitely counteract that...
Maryjo: Don’t spoil my grandson... Yeah, right.
Heather: Go to the gym at 6 a.m. three days a week. I doubt I’ll be that strict, but I’m going to try.
So those are our goals for 2013. Do you think we can keep them? At least for a month? Maybe we should start a pool?
What are some of your and your family’s resolutions?
See you in 2013!
