I had the honor of hosting, along with a friend, a baby shower for a good friends daughter. We had the guest list and the menu but what to do at the shower eluded us. We wanted something to do other than opening gifts. A customer had been into the store a few days before and told me about her shower and how the guests made a bird mobile for her. It sounded so cool and she loved all the fun everyone had and she got an awesome gift. That got me to thinking about what craft we could do that would be easy, fun, useful and something I could pull off in 3 days. After searching I came up with decoupaging baby hangers.
I pulled together infant hangers, craft papers, small punches, small scissors, mod podge, brushes and a metalic silver paint marker.
Start by cutting out the designs from paper. Then Mod podge the designs onto the hangers and then put a few extra coats over the entire hangers. Guests can do both sides or just one. Most of the guests had so much fun they did both sides of the hanger. After the party was over I gave each hanger another coat of mod podge.
The guests used the metallic paint marker to personalize the hangers along the bottom of the hanger.
The finished hangers! Aren't they awesome! Have you all been crafting at baby showers? What did you do?
